Born on November 11, 1942 in Faisalabad, Raja Nadir Pervaiz graduated from the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, in 1963 and served in the Pakistan Army until 1974.

Married with two sons and two daughters, he is a businessman by profession.

He was elected as member of the National Assembly on ticket of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) in 1985 elections, on ticket of the PML-Nawaz (PML-N) in 1990, 1993, 1997 and 2002 elections.

He served as federal minister for interior during 1987-88, minister of state for water & power during 1991-93 and minister of state for water & power and Communications during 1997-99.

Currently, he is chief organizer of the PML-N Youth Wing. He is also president of the Pak Watan Athletic Association. He got Sitara-e-Jurat by the Pakistan government on two separate occasions.
